If I go to one of my stories that is not currently attached to an epic and I click the "show more" link then I see Epic Link none. I can then edit and change none to the desired Epic Name. If it isn't there then you need to go to project settings > Issue Layout and edit the layout associated w/ story.
Select Add to Epic*. Issues can only belong to one epic at a time. If an issue already belongs to an epic, the Add epic option will be replaced by Change Epic*. On the Board . On the Backlog . To add issues to an epic from the roadmap: Click an epic. In the issue details panel, select Add a child issue.

While you can change the Epic title to something else it will not extend to Epic fields: Epic name, Epic link, Epic status. TBH, I think Atlassian should not allow changing the Epic title at all. It causes confusion and potential issues.
It appears that a 3rd party vendor, Exocet, appears to offer a plugin to Jira that might be able to customize this display today. I have not used this, but it might be one way to customize this view. You must be a registered user to add a comment.
The text "Systema TS 2021" as shown in your original post screen shots actually comes from the "Summary" field in the Epic. There is a separate field for Epics in Jira called "Epic Name". Typically people will create Epics so that the "Summary" and the "Epic Name" fields contain the same text. This minimizes confusion.
Answer accepted. You are missing a line to actually change the value on the issue. linkedIssueObj.setCustomFieldValue (accountField, issue.getCustomFieldValue (accountField) ) But note that this will not cause your linkedIssue to show the history of that change.
It isn't possible to edit the view of issues within an epic (add/remove columns), but you can always (1) search for the issues associated with an epic, then (2) edit the columns in your search results to show "Sprint". vildana_ermaya Nov 18, 2020. Thanks @Dave Liao for your feedback and help!
There's currently a feature request open to have this implemented, which you can follow/vote on/comment on here. Otherwise, there are two ways to have an issue assigned to an epic at the point of creation: On the roadmap, you can hover over an epic and select + Add a child issue. On the board/backlog, if you have an epic selected in the epic
Sep 28, 2020. Hi Ethan, Thanks for reaching out. The hierarchy in advanced road maps unfortunately isn't maintained by a single field, it depends on the issue type. Epic -> Any issue above epic: Need to set parent link. Any issue -> Epic: Need to set epic link. Subtask -> Any issue: Need to set parent. So with that said, it sounds like you are
Easiest way is to go the issue and `link the epic using `link-issues` to it by selecting `Created by` in the drop-down. View More Comments You must be a registered user to add a comment.
